Rolex recrute le CEO de Zenith, Jean-Frédéric Dufour

The Swiss giant Rolex has confirmed its appointment of Jean-Frédéric Dufour, the current CEO of Zenith (LVMH group) "to take over the direction at a date still to be determined, and in agreement with the company’s standing CEO, Gian Riccardo Marini," said the watchmaker.

Gian Riccardo Marini was hired in 2011 to succeed Bruno Meier. "All other communication will be released in due course,” said Rolex in a statement.

Jean-Frédéric Dufour, who is Swiss, has previously worked at Chopard and Blancpain (Swatch Group). He will become Rolex’s third CEO since 2008, observes the trade press, which describes the move as a "giant leap."

For its part, Zenith has not yet announced Jean-Frédéric Dufour’s successor.
