PrettyLittleThing opens Saudi Arabia webstore

Boohoo Group’s PrettyLittleThing (PLT) label has just launched a new webstore in Saudi Arabia targeting the 16-to-35-year-old customer that its core UK site and other international sites reach out to.

Importantly, in a first for the label, the site is available in all-Arabic. And the Saudi debut follows the firm launching in the United Arab Emirates last year.

The new webstores offers a wide selection of fast fashion alongside beauty and some homewares.

PLT boss Umar Kamani said: "We are so excited to further propel our presence into the global scene and continue to acknowledge and empower the women of the GCC, by inspiring them to narrate their own stories in PrettyLittleThing.”

The move comes as a number of UK retailers focus on adding new countries to their webstore offer. M&S, for instance recently added dedicated webstores for more than 40 new markets as it created instant growth without needing to open physical stores.

But particularly crucial is the local language offer, whatever level of the market the company is operating at. Only this week, YNAP’s upscale outlet The Outnet said it was adding a German language site.
