The September edition of Parisian international jewellery show Bijorhca ended on September 9 with a number of visitors on par with last year. Out of a total of approximately 12,000, 27% of visitors came from outside France, the most represented countries being Belgium, Italy and Spain. The organisers did not provide further details about the results, indicating there was generalised satisfaction within the industry, and announcing that the event will move to a new venue for its next edition in January.

Bijorhca was held from September 6 to 9 at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Paris. It hosted 345 exhibitors, including 133 new entries. It is a key event for the jewellery industry, and this edition confirmed its international appeal: 58% of exhibitors came from outside France, from 40 different countries. Among such a diverse range of nations, there were brands from South Africa (Yellow Jewellery, Starbright Jewellery and Kinkel Jewellery), the Ukraine (Helena Sai) and Peru (Perou Design).

Bijorhca put a special emphasis on artisanal skills and expertise with the new ‘Formations et Savoir-Faire’ (education and expertise) section, highly appreciated by visitors.

Marine Devos, the director of Bijorhca, announced that the show will change venue for its next session, scheduled on January 17 to 20 2020, when it will move from hall 5 to pavilion 7.1 within the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre.

“Our decision to redeploy to a new hall will enable us to continue with the sectional approach introduced this edition, and to make the buyers’ visiting experience better, in the interest of our clients,” said Devos.
