Miniso holds event to celebrate crossing the 100-store mark in India

Fashion accessories and lifestyle brand Miniso is continuing its fast-paced India expansion and recently celebrated crossing the 100-store mark in the country. New store openings are planned for Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Bilaspur, and Janakpuri.

The Chinese-based, Japanese-themed brand recently celebrated crossing the 100-store mark in India with a celebratory event at the Pullman Hotel in Aerocity, the Press Trust of India reported. Brand partners from across India attended the event to discuss the way forward for the business.

“Our vision is to now explore strategic business partnerships within the country that would help us in producing goods at competitive prices,” Miniso’s general manager for India Tyron Li told the Press Trust of India. “This would enable us to manufacture certain merchandise in India and then export to other countries. We are now looking to streamline the supply chain resources of the group - with a keen focus on developing local direct mining resources."

Miniso has no plans to slow down its rapid brick-and-mortar expansion. On September 3, the brand announced on social media that it is gearing up to open its fifth store in Hyderabad in the city’s GSM Mall. Just a day before on September 2, the brand announced that it will open a store in Trivandrum.

On August 30, Miniso opened a store in Hisar and also announced at the end of last month that it will open stores in Bilaspur and Janakpuri.

Miniso has now reached a total of 106 Indian outlets in over 43 cities. The brand also recently launched a collaborative collection with Marvel for a range of accessories and homeware items.
