Kate Moss is new Skims ambassador

Kim Kardashian West’s Skims brand has scored another publicity coup with Kate moss fronting its new campaign.

Moss, who famously fronted Calvin Klein underwear campaigns several decades ago, models the Cotton and Fits Everybody collections in the images and video (directed by photographer Donna Trope) and said she’s been a fan of the brand since it started.

She said that “what Kim is doing with the brand is so fresh and modern, making underwear women actually want and that fits perfectly. I wear it, my daughter wears it — even my mum wears it”.

Kardashian West and Moss have been friends for some years and as two of the highest profile fashion influencers globally, the pairing makes good commercial sense.

Moss appears in 30-second and 15-second TV ads that start airing this week. Although Skims has signed some high-profile models in the past, this will be the first ad not to feature kardashian West.

Skims is on a roll at present with reports of sales having quadrupled last year, plans for permanent stores next year and a deal to provide intimates, sleepwear and loungewear to the US team at this summer’s Olympic Games.
