Huf collaborates with artist Cleon Peterson on capsule

Huf is releasing an apparel and accessories capsule stemming from a collaboration with Los Angeles-based artist Cleon Peterson who is known for his monochromatic paintings depicting dark themes of chaos and brutality.

Huf announced the project on Instagram saying it is "A capsule collection celebrating Cleon's Blood & Soil art exhibition" which is taking place concurrently at Over the Influence gallery which has locations in both LA and Hong Kong.

The capsule includes a hoody, short-sleeve and long-sleeve tees and tote bags. Imagery plays off of Peterson's most recent work which is designed to provoke a discussion about violence which the artist believes is prevalent across the country.

On Over the Influence's website, Peterson describes his work as "a gray world where lawbreakers and law enforcers are one in the same; a world where ethics have been abandoned in favor of personal entitlement." It is work which, the gallery believes, "forc[es] us to question what we know what we see and what side are we on?"

Prices for Huf x Cleon Peterson range from $40 to $80. The capsule will be available online and at Huf flagship stores beginning July 9.

Huf is also hosting a pop-up shop at the gallery in LA on July 7 along with the opening reception for Peterson's art show. Over the Influence's LA location is 833 East 3rd Street, Los Angeles CA 90013.
