Fashion distributor Brama launches own cashmere label

International fashion distributor Brama has launched into design, by creating its own label, Fine Edge, with a premium positioning and specialising in knitwear and cashmere, a tribute to the company's origins as a manufacturer.

The 'Candice' model from the first Fine Edge collection - Fine Edge

Brama started out in Italy in the 1950s as a knitwear manufacturer. Later, in the 1990s, it began to distribute US fashion brands in Europe, and has now created a press office. Among the group's current clients are J Brand, Enza Costa, and Opening Ceremony.

The first Fine Edge pre-collection consists of 15 womenswear items (dresses, coats, sweaters, gilets and trousers) designed in Los Angeles by an internal team. The mood is boho-chic, featuring oversize cuts, tassels and bell sleeves. The products are manufactured in Italy, where Brama's registered office is located.

The Autumn 2017 collection will premiere at Brama's Paris showroom during Fashion Week, as well as at the group's six other European hubs (Antwerp, Madrid, Düsseldorf, Munich, Copenhagen and London). The objective is to quickly develop a European distribution network. Retail prices for Fine Edge will range between €380 and €600.
