Eco shoes label Inuikii launches at Selfridges

Switzerland-based sustainable luxury footwear brand Inuikii has received a major boost as far as UK consumers are concerned with the brand available at high-end department store Selfridges from this autumn.

The shoes, which are designed in Switzerland and hand-made in Europe, mix luxury with eco credentials and that’s something that synchronises well with the Selfridges strategy at present.

Made with organic materials, they’ll be available at the department store’s Oxford Street flagship just at the point that footfall is picking up as international tourists return and office workers start commuting again.

The launch comes with the label’s bestselling Classic Sneaker range being made available in a selection of colourways including black, beige, olive and taupe.

Founder/Creative Director and Chief Creative Officer Cinzia and Alessio Maag said: “Quality, fun and sustainability are at the forefront of mind when we design a new collection together. We love to experiment with fine-quality leathers and unusual materials, with many different textiles, glittering sequins, colour prints and gleaming metals.

"We like to see ourselves as one big family — celebrating the unique individualities and strengths each of us bring to Inuikii. Our ultimate aim is to allow the wearer of each of our shoes to feel stylish and comfortable, but most importantly when they put on our shoes, they create an individual personal fashion statement that is all their own, while not costing the earth.”

They may not cost the part but the shoes are at the premium end of the price scales with prices starting at £210 in the UK.
