Cult sunglasses brand Gentle Monster could be coming to London

Korean sunglasses label Gentle Monster, a favourite of countless Instagram stars and influencers, is planning to set up its first European store in London before the end of 2018.

The brand’s playful sunglasses were been worn by actress Susan Sarandon at the last Cannes Film Festival with an off-the-shoulder green velvet gown, and were reinterpreted by Tilda Swinton in an exclusive capsule collection earlier this year.

The label has extravagant flagship stores in New York, Korea, China and Hong Kong, introducing its collection of shades among ecstatic art installations and mirrored structures. According to the Evening Standard, London could be next as Gentle Monster has recently appointed CBRE to find a suitable location in the British capital.

Currently, Gentle Monster fans can find its attention-grabbing sunglasses in UK department stores including Harvey Nichols.

Gentle Monster was born in 2011 and is now stocked in more than 450 stores in over 30 countries including South Korea, France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
