Christopher Kane announces first ever ad campaign "Crash and Repair"

Designer Christopher Kane announced his inaugural advertising campaign with the themes “Crash and Repair.” The campaign features UK model Alice Buckingham, and is photographed by Harley Weir and styled by Joe McKenna. In the images, some close-ups and some pulled-back, Buckingham poses dramatically in an avant garde suit in one shot and behind cobalt fringe in an abstract close-up shot.

Christopher Kane said of the brand’s first campaign, “I am really thrilled to launch my first ever brand campaign. I look forward to experimenting and building my brand image through this medium; it’s an exciting time for us.” Harley Weir’s photographs emphasize the tension between natural and unconventional beauty via untraditional poses and stark backgrounds. The campaign will debut in March editions major fashion publications.

Christopher Kane launched his self-named label in 2006 following his graduation from Central Saint Martins. Kane has received several accolades including British Fashion Awards Designer of the Year in 2013, as well as winner of the Vogue Fashion Fund.
