ASOS interim CFO to leave as search goes on for Dunn's replacement

ASOS has announced Katy Mecklenburgh, its interim Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving to take up a new role as CFO at IT infrastructure and services firm Softcat.

It’s clearly a good move for Mecklenburgh but doesn’t exactly come at a great time for ASOS, which is under pressure to improve its financial performance. 

However, Mecklenburgh will continue in her current role at the fashion e-tail giant for the next six months, in line with her notice period, as ASOS “continues its process to appoint a new CFO”.

That process has been ongoing since former full-time incumbent Mat Dunn — who had also been interim CEO before its new chief executive was appointed — stepped down on 31 October.

Dunn had taken over as interim CEO after the departure of Nick Beighton and is set to join Gymshark, the fast-expanding activewear brand, early in 2023.
