Mango has announced the appointment of Juan Marcos Ledo as its new director of expansion. The role was previously held by Tony Batlló, who will now focus on the international franchise business.

The franchise model has become increasingly important in the Spanish brand’s global growth plan, so Batlló’s arrival is expected to boost the division and drive further growth.

Both Ledo and Batlló will share the responsibilities for the expansion of the international business. Tony Batlló took up the role of director of expansion in 2014 after having served in the brand’s offices in the US.

The Barcelona-based company has now 2,200 stores in 110 countries. In financial 2015, Mango had sales of 2.3 million euros, up 15% on the previous year.
