IMG signs Karen Elson to its women's board

The supermodel and musician joins the likes of Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss at IMG. The British model was previously signed with The Lions Model Management in New York City.

 
Karen Elson has been a fixture in the fashion industry since she was shot by Steven Meisel for Italian Vogue at the age of 18. Now 38, she has just signed with one of the largest modeling agencies in New York, having already appeared on international magazine covers and starred in campaigns for Lanvin, Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent.
 
Elson is currently the face of Anna Sui’s capsule collection for Macy’s INC International Concepts. She appeared on Wednesday evening alongside the designer at The Heath at the McKittrick Hotel in New York to celebrate the launch of the collection, where she also performed songs from her album Double Roses.

Elson’s signing comes just at the start of New York Fashion Week, of which IMG is a producer. IMG will also be hosting two pop-up shops during fashion week. She has yet to appear in any runway shows for the season.
 
Elson will continue her career in music as well as fashion with IMG. Some of her other recent campaigns include Miu Miu and Moncler.
