Hailey Baldwin turns shoe designer for Public Desire

Hailey Baldwin is hot on her friend Gigi Hadid's heels. Just hours after supermodel Gigi revealed her ankle boot design for the footwear brand Stuart Weitzman, Hailey has dropped a shoe collaboration of her own with the British fashion label Public Desire.

The Public Desire x Hailey Baldwin collection comprises 20 styles, ranging from long over-the-knee boots in clingy sock styles to lace-up ankle booties and strappy sandals. Crushed velvet and mesh give the styles a fashion-forward vibe, while perspex and wooden stacked heels add edginess to the collection and a color palette of nudes, black, burgundy and khaki keep things practical. The affordable designs are priced between $49.99 and $72.99.

The 19-year-old model took to Instagram to announce the news, sharing a promotional video of herself sporting some of the new styles. She had hinted at the collection the day before, sharing a photo of herself adjusting one of her sandals on a model captioned: "making my friends with pretty feet model my shoes."

It is the second big fashion design project for the model, who unveiled her first fashion line, a capsule collection for Australian label The Daily Edited dubbed "#theHAILEYedited," back in July. She has also been working on a new makeup range for the Australian beauty brand ModelCo that is set to go on sale in November.
