Bubble London’s June edition sees visitor number growth

Bubble London, the trade show showcasing the best UK and international children’s brands, saw its visitor numbers increase by 6% year-on-year in its last edition, which was held between June 19- 20 at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

Over 250 kids’ fashion, footwear, accessory, homewear, nursery and maternity brands showcased their latest collections and products to an increasingly international public. This season saw powerful buying groups attend the event, including China’s virtual malls JD Worldwide and NetEase Koala.

Bubble’s June show also introduced a new product area, Bubble Bump, featuring leading maternity and nursery labels such as Lara & Ollie, Mothers Love Fashion, La La Beads, aden + anais, Frugi, Snoozebaby and BenBat.

This initiative was welcome by visitors, who praised the more organised show layout. Laura Slater, director of Eat Sleep Love said: “It was really useful to see lots of maternity and new baby-focused brands in one place. It ensured my time at the show was used efficiently.”

Highlights of the two-day event also included a free Look Who’s Talking seminar programme exploring the latest trends, panel discussions and a new We’ve Got Chemistry area showcasing some of the most exciting brand collaborations.

Reflecting on this season’s action-packed edition, Bubble’s event director, Lindsay Hoyes, said: “The traditional trade show format is changing as rapidly as the retail landscape that it relies upon, and we are working hard at Bubble London to ensure that the show is as relevant to exhibitors and retailers now as it was when the show launched in 2008.”

Bubble London will be held once again on 29 and 30 January, 2017 at the Business Design Centre.
