& Other Stories opens major new Parisian branch

After opening on rue Saint-Honoré and rue Montmartre, womenswear label & Other Stories has now turned to one of Paris’ trendiest districts, the Marais. On August 31, the fashion retailer owned by the H&M group is opening its third Parisian store at 76 rue Vieille-du-Temple, an 880-square-metre branch taking over the premises formerly occupied by an architecture studio and a small supermarket.

The store puts a premium on its customers’ experience, with interiors featuring bow windows, tall ceilings and an inner garden, as well as a selection of choice antique furniture.

“The store’s interior décor will feature carefully selected antique pieces to mirror the highly original style of the studio we have in Paris, the city we hail from. Finding these premises in rue Vieille-du-Temple, in the Marais district, was a dream come true,” said Sanna Lindberg, the general manager of & Other Stories, in a press release.

Besides & Other Stories’s customary range of accessories, costume jewellery, beauty products, handbags and of course ready-to-wear apparel, the store is also introducing something new: an artist’s residency, showcasing collaborations with local artists and other fashion labels. The first collaboration will be with artist Camille Bidault-Waddington, whose jewellery and ceramic artworks will be on display and on sale at the store from September 6 to 16.

& Other Stories was launched by the H&M group in 2013, and it develops its collections and projects in three creative hubs: Paris, Los Angeles and Stockholm. FashionNetwork.com recently had the opportunity to visit the label’s Stockholm headquarters.
